Chemo and Keto

William finished his second week of chemotherapy this week. So far there have not been any significant side effects although, as we are well aware form past experience, it is early days. We decided to take him back to the Space Centre which proved again to be interesting enough for him to venture out of his buggy…

Despite everything we continue to be humbled by how much support William has. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to all those who have supported our fundraising campaigns so far be it through individual donations or organised events

In addition to the chemo we have, through the greatly appreciated support of Matthews Friends and our medical team, managed to start William on a Ketogenic Diet. The basic theory behind this is that cancerous cells depend on energy from carbohydrates and depriving them of this may help fight tumours
