So, after the government recently agreed consider licence applications for medicinal cannabis, we recently asked our consultant to apply for one so that William could be prescribed medical grade cannabinoids on the NHS (our current supply currently costs £2,000 for a nine month supply!)
We then found out that such an application would cost the NHS £3,655…
I’m not even going to begin to rant about how frustrated we am about this – it just makes us all the more determined to sit down with someone high up in the government and explain to them what cannabinoids appears to have done for William and what they could do for other people…

The government “will consider licence applications for the use of cannabis and cannabis-based medicinal products in exceptional cases where there is an unmet clinical need” – see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/cannabis-based-medicines-expert-review-panel/cannabis-and-cannabis-based-medicinal-products#process-for-considering-a-licence
What is a license for medical cannabis? Is this to grow medical cannabis?
